Chrombios provides high quality Molecular Cytogenetic services and products with focus on the analysis of chromosomes in cancer and animal models in genome research. In particular, we offer for human and mouse:

• Multi Color FISH Service. This includes Color Karyotyping of cell lines (for example mouse ES cells), analysis of tumor cell lines, rearrangements after exposure to irradiation and to other mutagens,.....
• Mapping of cloned DNA sequences on metaphase chromosomes.
• Characterization of cell lines by multi color FISH (for example for patent applications).

Chrombios also assists in the development of FISH probes defined by our customers. These services include:

• Developing probe sets including combinations of various repetitive probes (centromeres) and locus specific probes (genes, genomic segments, based on BACs/PACs/YACs , i.e. for deletion and translocation analysis, etc.)
• Chromosome sorting by FACS (for example for DNA library construction, from tumor cells for array painting and related techniques, generating DNA for "next generation sequencing").
• Establishing pools of painting probes (for example for mutation research etc).

In addition to human and mouse, Chrombios offers cytogenetic service on various other important animal models in genome research (for example rat, hamster) as well as for life stock species (cattle, sheep, chicken).
